Who we are

Our website address is: https://calculatorsforex.com.

Cookies and browser storage

This site uses a small number of cookies and browser local storage. None are used for advertising or cross-site tracking:

  • Cookie consent – remembers whether you’ve accepted or declined the cookie notice, so it doesn’t show again on your next visit. Stored on your device only.
  • Light/dark display preference – remembers whether you chose a light or dark background for the site. Stored on your device only.
  • Calculator inputs – the calculators remember your account balance, risk percentage, risk mode and account currency on this device, so you don’t have to retype them on your next visit. A “Reset” link on the calculator clears them. Stored on your device only.
  • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) and Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk) – set only if you press Accept in the cookie notice. They let us count visitors and see how pages are used (Clarity records anonymised session replays and heatmaps). Nothing is loaded from Google or Microsoft before you accept, or after you decline.
  • Usage statistics ID (cfxcalc_wid) – a random identifier with no personal meaning, kept for 12 months, that lets us tell one visit to a calculator from another (see the next section). This one is sent to us.

Apart from the usage statistics ID, this data stays in your own browser and you can clear it at any time via your browser’s site data settings.

Calculator usage statistics

To see which calculators and instruments are useful and where they are confusing, we record how the calculators are used. This is our own first-party system, running on our own server. This is separate from the Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity measurement described below, and we do not share it with anyone.

For each visit to a calculator we record:

  • the calculator and instrument you are using, and the instrument you switch to;
  • the values you type into the calculator’s fields (for example lot size, contract size, account balance, risk percentage, entry, stop loss and take profit) and the results the calculator shows;
  • what you do on the page: clicking Calculate, focusing or changing a field, how far you scroll, how long you stay, and which links you click;
  • the page address and the website the calculator is shown on (when you use one of our free embeddable widgets on another website, on our own pages we also record that site’s page address);
  • the full address of the page you came from (the “referrer”, for example a search results page or another website), when your browser sends it. It can include the words in a link’s address, so please be aware that this is kept as received;
  • the random usage statistics ID from the cookie above, which links these events together as one visitor.

On other websites that embed our free widgets we record much less: only the site’s domain and the path of the page it sits on (no query string), that the widget loaded, whether it was seen on screen, and clicks on the “Powered by” link. Values typed into an embedded calculator and its results are not recorded. The detail above applies to calculatorsforex.com itself.

We do not store your name, email address or IP address with these events, and we make no attempt to identify you from them. Please do not type personal information into calculator fields, as we cannot tell it apart from a number. The same applies to the Deriv calculators.

If you choose Decline in the cookie notice on calculatorsforex.com, Google Analytics and Clarity are never loaded, the calculators on this site stop recording usage statistics and do not set the usage statistics ID. Until you have made a choice, usage statistics are recorded as described here. A calculator embedded on another website cannot show our notice; the owner of that website is responsible for informing its own visitors about embedded content. You can also delete the cookie in your browser at any time, which starts you over with a new random ID. To have data linked to a particular usage statistics ID deleted, contact us and include the value of your cfxcalc_wid cookie.

Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our calculators, which is why we keep this data anonymous and limited to calculator usage.

Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity

If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) and Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft Corporation) to understand how many people use the site, where they come from and how they move around the pages. Both may process your IP address and device information and may transfer it outside the EU/EEA/UK; Google and Microsoft are responsible for that processing under their own privacy terms. Our legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser and choosing Decline when the notice appears again. Clarity masks text typed into form fields by default, but please do not type personal information into the calculators.

Contact form

If you use the contact form, we store the name, email address, topic, and message you submit, along with your IP address and browser user agent (used only to help prevent spam submissions). This is kept so we can read and reply to your message, and is never shared with any third party or used for marketing.

Comments on calculators

Each calculator page has an optional comment box. If you write a comment, we store the text, whether you voted the calculator helpful or not, and the calculator page it was written on. We do not ask for or store your name, email address or IP address with it. To limit spam, your IP address is briefly turned into an anonymous code that expires after one hour, and is not saved with your comment. Please don’t put personal information in a comment. Comments are only read by us to improve the calculators, and are never shared or used for marketing. To have a comment removed, contact us with the calculator name and the wording of the comment.

Your rights under GDPR (EU/EEA/UK residents)

If you’re located in the EU, EEA, or UK, you have the following rights over any personal data we hold about you: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us.

You can object to the calculator usage statistics at any time by choosing Decline in the cookie notice or by clearing your browser’s site data (see the sections above), or by contacting us.

Some services this Site relies on (such as Google Fonts, loaded to display the Site’s typeface) may process a visitor’s IP address as part of normal web delivery, potentially involving a transfer outside the EU/EEA/UK. We choose providers that maintain appropriate safeguards for this.

If you believe we haven’t handled your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
